Paul F.X. Gallagher, Esq. Mr. Gallagher has been practicing law since 1972. After one year as a law clerk to Honorable James T. McDermott, he has actively been engaged in litigation practice since November of 1973. He has taken in excess of eighty jury trials to verdict. Additionally, he has started another twenty-five to forty jury trials which were settled sometime after the selection of the jury but prior to a jury returning a verdict. As referenced above, Mr. Gallagher has spoken or lectured at professional seminars on behalf of the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel on a regular basis for at least the last ten years. He has also authored or participated in authoring various seminar documents, including a monograph which is a survey of railroad liability when people come in or about railroad tracks. Mr. Gallagher has handled various types of litigation including corporate litigation, real estate litigation, employment discrimination litigation, and also environmental litigation (usually acting as local counsel). Mr. Gallagher has primarily been involved in property and casualty litigation. In the thirty years he has worked as a trial attorney, approximately 80% of his time has been devoted to the various types of railroad litigation. Professional Membership
